**Our LiL' Miracle Boy**

Tytan's Story

Life couldn't get any better for the young Walker family until things changed after one doctor appointment. They had a beautiful little girl and was expecting a healthy baby boy in just one short month. Teisha went in for her last growth ultrasound before Tytans arrival and heard something that would forever change their life in multiple ways. Tytan would be born with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, which means he was missing the left ventricle and basically had half a heart. On April 20th, 2013 they welcomed an almit's 5 pound precious baby boy into the world. They knew it was going to be a journey but they never imagined what their journey would intel. He had his first open heart surgrey at just 6 days old. He spent the first month of his life ato Primary Childrens hospital before his family was FINALLY able to take him home. He did relatively well at home and was loving life with his big sister until the beginning of September when he was life flighted back to Primary Childrens Hospital. Little did the young family know they would battle their hardest battle yet and their baby boy wouldn't be coming home with them. When they got to the hospital they learned Tytan had another heart issue called Wolfe Parkinson White that would send Tytan into terrible arrithymias that were difficult to get him out of. Due to his complex heart anatomy the team of doctors chose to do an Ablasion and correct his rhythm problem. The surgery didn't go as planned. After 9 1/2 hours of surgery Tytan went into cardiac arrest and worked on for 55 minutes before he was hooked up to ECMO (life support). He spent the next 9 days on ECMO and to everyone's surprise came off. He continued to be on a ventilator for another 20 days before he was able to breathe on his own again. They were thrilled that their sons fragile body has recovered until an MRI showed more devastating news. Due to the CPR & lack of oxygen, Tytan'a brain had taken a hard hit. Much of his brain was damaged and his future and quality of life didn't look promising. That didn't stop Tytan and his parents. They continued to fight and prove doctors wrong for almost 2 months in primary childrens hospital until one Thursday they recieved the dreadful news that their sons heart was failing and there was "nothing more the medical team could do" Tytan was no longer a transplant candidate because of the brain damage that occurred. Tytan spent 4 more wonderful days in the arms of his big sister and parents. He recently earned his angel wings and returned home with his heavenly parents.
