Week 3 was a breeze compared to the other two, and the best part
of it all is I could snuggle my lil man any time I wanted in the CICU. It was
so nice to go in his room and pick him up instead of just sitting at his bed
holding his hand. He still had quite a few lines and such but nothing compared
to before. He was on high flow and eventually weaned to normal oxygen by the
end of the week. They also increased his feeds through his feeding tube. We are
parents worked on steps to being released by being certified in CPR and all
sorts of other things like that. Week 3 was much quicker and much more
enjoyable being able to hold and rock him. By the end of week 3 we were able to
put clothes on the little man for the first time and move out of the ICU unit
to the regular floor. It was the best week of his life so far ;]
